I'm getting the feeling that some people think that homosexuality is a relatively new phenomenom. I'm also getting the feeling that some people think that its a phenomenom that only applies to white people. I'm not surprised, based on the fact that for much of history it has been considered weird and wrong. A great deal of oppression and suppression was the result of that. Very true! Personally, I think Jesus the guy would be disgusted by the beliefs and actions of most of the people who have claimed to be his followers for the past couple thousand years…

Perhaps. But I think hellfire is kind of a vindictive concept no matter what, and hellfire metaphors were his favorite way to end a parable, despite some of his very liberal positions.

I have no idea how he'd feel about abortion, though, or homosexuality, or stem cells, or whatever. I'm not too crazy about there being this second world where making things needlessly hard in this world is justified.
