I've never followed Feministing, on account of it being WWS yawnsville, and I haven't read Feministe in ages. Did piny leave?

I found Feministe useful when I was in college, but it turns out I was a pretty fucking clueless middle-class white girl in college. This isn't necessarily a slam at Feministe, since it served a 101 purpose for me at the time, but it's a sign of the systemic problems that the big feminist blogs are pretty much white, straight, cis, and middle-class.

Yep, pistol grip + short barrel + high ammo capacity = combat/riot shotgun. The short barrel makes it easier to use in close quarters, and the pistol grip allows it to be fired quickly and from a position other than at the shoulder. (Not all riot shotguns have the pistol grip, but all pistol grip shotguns are tactical--or the person who bought it is an idiot, because a pistol grip is useless for hunting or sport.)

I doubt whoever made the logo knew any of this, and probably picked the pistol grip because it would be easier to 'shop into the girl's hand.
