Yep, pistol grip + short barrel + high ammo capacity = combat/riot shotgun. The short barrel makes it easier to use in close quarters, and the pistol grip allows it to be fired quickly and from a position other than at the shoulder. (Not all riot shotguns have the pistol grip, but all pistol grip shotguns are tactical--or the person who bought it is an idiot, because a pistol grip is useless for hunting or sport.)

I doubt whoever made the logo knew any of this, and probably picked the pistol grip because it would be easier to 'shop into the girl's hand.
