ok kids. I'm finally moving to dreamwidth.

LJ has annoyed me for the last time. Now, following witchwillow's lead, I have made a separate community called the_world_around_us, (after a radio show that used to play on Sunday afternoons when I was young) and I'm moving the LJ version of usualmusic there. Why a community? Because I wanted to keep this content mostly separate from what I post at my personal dreamwidth blog. Feel free to join, lurk and do whatever else you used to do here to keep up with me. I'll be around in various comms and I'll set up an RSS to follow some of you all (taking this opportunity to do a friends chop cause I am so overburdened it ain't funny , but this is the end. I love you all and look forward to seeing you on the other side!


And I'll finally be able to merge tags! HURRAY!

That's actually what I do - I post everything in Dreamwidth, and it automatically reposts it in LJ. I find it convenient; I prefer DW over LJ, but most of my friends are still on LJ.

It's under 'Account Settings', then 'Other Sites'. With a free DW account, you can add 1 account to crosspost to, with a paid DW account, you can add more.

Not only can you do that, but you can make it so that you have to go to DW in order to comment, and you can also make it show how many comments have been posted over there thus far.

. . .Just don't ask me how to do it. *sigh* I'm moving after the paid account time I bought is up.
