Because some people seem to believe that we cannot see your dirty racial laundry re: Uhura and Spock, mixed with teh smelly misogyny that plagues all the other females who have the unfortunately plot point of getting in the way of your favorite slash couples.


And because it is disgusting of you to appropriate the struggles of LGBT Americans so as to satisfy your attraction to slashing goodlooking men. (Hello lesbians in Star Trek would be disappointing, we need Kirk Spock or else! To say nothing of the relative paucity of fic slashing women compared to men.)

That petition...well, it's kind of astonishing. And not in the 'Hurrah! That's astonishing!' way. (Mind you, I think Uhura could do better than Spock. Or any of the lot of them.)

Oh, for fuck's sake.

I loathe the way too much fandom slash thinks its about actual queer people, as opposed to the slashers' sexual fantasies. Don't fucking say you're standing up for my rights in wanting to have your fantasies on the big screen.

And worse, bringing all that racial cluelessness into it? Stop it. It's not like the LGBT movement doesn't engage in racist fail on a regular basis, but if the LGBT movement is gonna be associated with more of that, I'd at least like it to come from actual LGBT people, and not from people who are merely pretending to be acting in our name.
