I'm sure it's gotten even worse too. Mugabe has cracked down on political opposition, and while that article says inflation was over 1,000% the latest figure was over 14,000%! It's basically a country in complete collapse, even basic food items are unavailable now..

The government thinks nothing of torturing people to maintain power, so one more victim isn't surprising.. I kind of feel especially bad for the young girls.. You know a lot will just be driven out of school completely, and never be able to catch up even with a new government..
