I heard him start in on Iran again today and seriously, Obama is right when he says the USSR was a bigger threat than Iran is to us. Who the fuck is running the State Department and Middle East Affairs?
She has absolutely no training in Islamic Studies or Middle Eastern Studies.
Zero.
You need both of those things to be a functional diplomat in the region, but then, we might as well elect a prez with a GED next, we might be better off.
It’s amazingly disturbing that the guy didn’t even know Al Qaeda and the Iranian government are not best friends.. I’m guessing he also has no clue that Iran was helping with the war in Afghanistan against Al Qaeda before Bush decided to declare them EVIL, which also helped bring in a more hard line regime >_<
