..which is why I generally despise politicians. It's like choosing the lesser of evils and never really about someone who represents my voice, but I digress.
Those stats are par for the course, too. My institution touts its diversity, claiming that they're proud to have 30+% non-white employees. That shit almost made me fall out of my chair laughing because <1% of that 30% are actually in a position of authority in the hospital. But they swear that because they hire Black and Latino folk to clean this place that they're a diverse institution. Right.
