Mr. McCain's surprising choice of Governor Palin was another example of his brand of politics by personal instinct. The Alaska Governor has fired up the GOP base, and as a candidate she has been less embarrassing by far than Joe Biden. But it is also true that her performance in early interviews gave the media a chance to assail Mr. McCain's judgment and has diminished her own political standing. The campaign -- and Mr. McCain -- should have been better prepared for the media assault that always hits a GOP unknown.
WHUT??? She's been convicted of BREAKING THE LAW IN ALASKA!!! She doesn't understand the role of Vice President! She is IGNORANT of the Constitution!!! She's married to a husband who was part of a party that wanted to secede from the US! (Try that if you're a Democrat!) She is IGNORANT of foreign policy! has NO CLUE about the economy. Don't know much about geography either. What do you MEAN, she's less embarrassing than Joe Biden? Which gaffe has Joe committed in all his years in public life that compares to her inability to NAME A SINGLE NEWSPAPER THAT SHE READS!!!!!?????

I swear to god that with Republicans like these, our country will be headed down the road to Idiocracy in NO time. And we have nuclear bombs *hides*
And I will not even BEGIN to consider why the hell the notion of "honor" applies to John McCain now.
