I Think e's Got It.

This is worth pulling out of the comments and front paging, folks e in md:

So...lemme see if I get this straight. I want to be sure to understand the conservative mindset for reasons already mentioned.

It's bad to consider an abortion, but it's ok to turn females into baby making machines for fun and profit.

And it's bad to think that mankind descended from primates. But we have no problem treating human females the same way we treat cows even to the point of 'calving' them.

It's bad to kill a blob of cells with little to no consciousness that even the Bible says has no worth until it's been outside it's mother for a month.

But it's good to let people like Michael J. Fox suffer from Parkinson's disease.

and it's good to keep people like Christopher Reeves confined to a wheelchair.

But it's ok, to beat, starve or smother children to death when they misbehave, because you're following the bible's 'Spare the rod' clause.

It's bad to let a brain dead woman in a persistent vegetative state die because some douchebag who fancies himself a doctor watches her for five minutes even though ten other doctors and the autopsy say she's a meat puppet and roughly as aware as the average house plant.
