Bloom cleared of drunk driving charges
So, they make him crash, then they photograph it. Good copy, huh? Sells lots of magazines. ANd then have the nerve to write up stories questioning his character when he walked away from teh car, insinuating that he was running away from the scene and telling him to go back. Completely ignoring the fact that they had just caused him to crash!!! Have we lost our collective minds?!!!? Do we really need to see a fucking person driving from a club so much that we will risk his life and limbs to get our celebrity fix? How exactly, is this kind of thing still legal? Under what circumstances does the "people's right to know" trump the health and safety of the people that we are trying to know? How come we scream when a police chase ends in a crash, yet allow photographers to chase people down like nobles and dogs chasing game and nothing happens? How come photographers are allowed to sue and win against the overwhelmed celebs who are sick and tired of cameras and rude comments and photoshopped pics and gobs of strangers decimating their privacy and react negatively, yet , when paparazzi risk the lives of celebs, themselves and innocent people that may be around, no-one is held responsible? What Orlando Bloom's life outside of the silver screen is like is NONE OF OUR GODDAMN BUSINESS! We don't need to know to know that he goes clubbing. We don't need to know where he lives, what the fuck he wears when he's not promoting a movie, what's his favorite food, none of it. If he wasn't a celebrity the fucking paparazzi would be charged with stalking. And they caused him to crash, so that would have been attempted manslaughter or something. But because he is a celebrity, we assume that this shit should be the way he lives his life? What, does someone need to die before we do something to stop excessive force and dangerous maneuvers in getting stupid photos of a man driving home from a club? Oh wait, one celeb already did. Apparently, they need to pay for their fame with their privacy, their safety and ultimately their lives.
