I swear as a child that I got a decent sex-education. Maybe I'm imagining things because the idea that kids aren't learning about condoms and birth control is so foreign to me, but we did the condom on the banana thing and we learned about birth control. EDIT: This was in the fifth grade.
We didn't learn about masturbation or anything like that though. For the most part (except that one girl who embarrassingly started her period in class) we were all prepubescent. Yes I know prepubescent masturbation happens, but I think it's better off left to a private, individual case or at least until middle school. *is a prude in spite of it all* /end edit
Was my class the only one or something? Is it me, or has this abstinence only movement been a recent change? I'm serious with this question. I don't get it.
