I'm glad at least some workers are catching a break. There's a story plastered all over mainstream news about how some rich ass billionaire killed himself because he lost billions in some damn recent financial scandal and just couldn't bear to go on. There was evidently no time in the 24-hr news cycle to explore how unemployed people with children to feed are managing during these turbulent times.

Now, now, now, only the elite count, remember? One of the things that pissed me the fuck off during the election was the emphasis on the middle class. not a WORD about the poor, hello, they didn't exist, and noone apparently missed them, in media or politics. And as the economic downturn grows, still little to no comment on their plight. But much or the travails of the rich would will, poor souls, have to cancel that Christmas trip to Paris or wherever...

this is nice news. AT least one comapny is doing the right thing by hiring those workers back, giving them 1500, and giving them insurance on day 1. I'm curious to know more about what this company is about. I presume the workers weren't organized since there wasn't a mention of any union in that article.
