She's like the Deputy Secretary of Near and Middle Eastern Affairs or something like that. She's high-up in the Middle Eastern division.

She has absolutely no training in Islamic Studies or Middle Eastern Studies.
Zero.
You need both of those things to be a functional diplomat in the region, but then, we might as well elect a prez with a GED next, we might be better off.
