So you think you can dance: Bollywood.

Thank GOD , cause I was getting so tired of the waltz and salsa and stuff! ANd African Jazz? Set to Marilyn Manson music? WHUT? Only problem was that the judges didn't spend time getting up to speed with how to judge it on its technical merits, Nigel patted himself on the back for having thought of this at all, and he and the rest then commented on how similar to Western dances like hiphop and ballroom dancing it was! I was so annoyed!

I'm so pissed that work is getting in the way of watching this show. I'm usually on top of it. Last year was very good. I'm happy Sabra won. I know Danny got a raw deal with the producers but I really did not like his personality.

Anyways, I let out a shriek at your subject title. Now I'm hoping that somehow this show was magically recorded on my DVR that never works. I wish they would have made it more of a back and forth instead of having both dancers do the same moves.

The judges are dumb, and I have an extra dislike towards Nigel because of his dumbassery with American Idol. I really don't pay attention to them.

EDIT: And I keep meaning to watch Dhoom I keep procrastinating at getting a copy at the library. *sigh*

The fun thing with Danny is that I like reserved people, but it looks like so many people think that you are a snobby person if you aren't bubbly and having your emotions all over the place. Whereas I would like to murder cute and bubbly people. Nor do I feel like people who kiss the judges asses and cry a lot (I HATE Americas Next top model for that very reason.) The whole season cam e across to me as people wanting Danny to make them feel important, and Danny just refusing to play their game. And I loved it.

I agree with your comment so much. The emphasis on 'personality' (which translates into oversharing and acting-out on tv) over talent chafes my butt.

The whole season came across to me as people wanting Danny to make them feel important, and Danny just refusing to play their game. And I loved it.

I loved it, too. Danny also didn't wait for the judges to determine his worth. He knew his worth, knew he was talented, probably twice as much as the rest of the contestants put together. When the rest of your 'peers' live and die by the judges' comments every week and you don't, some people may perceive it as arrogance. I didn't. I want to say that some of this may have to do with race but they pretty much did the same thing with Blake in Season 1, I think.
